Middleton Educare has had a thirty-year experience in assisting Cypriot students to find suitable placements in British Universities. With an office in Paphos and with business collaborators all over Cyprus we are able to recruit students from all over the island. We also own a successful language school where students are given tuition from junior to proficiency levels. To complement this, annual examinations are organised across the whole island, culminating in a qualification which is the final indicator that students can adequately cope with degree work, in addition to achieving success in their chosen academic subjects. Besides, every summer we take a large number of students for a two-week summer course at Chichester College in Sussex.
Consequently, we feel we are in an excellent position to assist students both academically and in their language skills, and finally to assist in their applications to British Universities. Naturally, we also work closely with students’ parents, and discuss with them the range of opportunities and the funding implications involved. Indeed, British University Education is held in such high regard that there is no shortage of good quality candidates who can bring with them adequate funding, as well as contributing to the varied richness of university life.
Over the years I have had considerable on-going contacts with British Universities following my own postgraduate studies first at Edinburgh University (1978) Commonwealth Scholarship (PG Dip in Linguistics and Teaching English) and later at the University of East Anglia (1986 ) a Master’s Degree in Educational Management and School Administration. I was a Headmaster at a state secondary school for the last 8 years.
My other two collaborators are my two sons Dr Nicos Middleton who is holding a BSc (Hons) Degree in Maths, Statistics and Operational Research from University College London (UCL), a Master’s Degree in Statistics from London School of Economics (LSE) and a PhD from Bristol University. He was also a Research Assistant at the University of Harvard in the USA for 3 years and currently Assistant Professor of Bio-Statistics at the Technical University of Cyprus. Mr George Middleton who is holding a BA (Hons) Degree in English Language from Lancaster University, a Master’s Degree in Linguistics and English Language Teaching from King’s College in London and a MRes in Professional Studies from Bristol University. He is now the Chief Supervisor of the Anglia Examination Syndicate of England in Paphos and Nicosia.
